Hi Can. The consensus here seems to be it would be just fine for you to use that cover, as long as proper credit is given (which I'm sure you were planning to give--just a formality). In fact, I'm thrilled and I'm sure our photographer would be as well.

Thanks again to you and all the members of the society--the story wouldn't have been nearly as complete without your help.

I'm still on your listserv and hoping to stay up on your events and progress. Keep swinging!

Dear Can,

Thank you very much for asking my permission rather
than just copying the information (which has happened to me in
the past). I have a couple of suggestions for you. One possibility is
to just have a direct link to my events page. That way you won't have
to copy anything, and your viewers will have the benefit of having
up to date information (I add new entries every month). The other
possibility is to copy some stuff with acknowledgement and include
a link to get the complete listing. What do you think?

Your fellow dance webber,

- Stefan

Hi Can,

I looked at your page. It looks great, and your attributions are
fine. You might just want to add that the National Swing Dance Event Schedule
may have new events not listed on your page in the same time frame since
I update my schedule frequently. Otherwise, it's great. I'll add a link to your
site soon.

Dear Can,

I like your web page. In answer to your question, generally using
microlinks is not the best of ideas, because then one needs to worry
about consistency at the microlink level. The following are merely my
suggestions, you can do as you see fit.

Under "Links to Dance Articles", I would suggest linking "Elements of
dance etiquette" alone and leaving "useful tips from declining a dance
to unsolicited teaching" unlinked. Because there is a table of contents
at the top of that page, people can immediately find what they want once
they get there.

The usage in your "hops" page is of course more specialized, and seems
to work well the way you have done it, so I would leave it the way it
is. I just hope people won't bookmark those particular links. And
hopefully you will be checking the links in your pages occasionally to
see that they remain valid. I try not to mess around with link names,
but while file names are absolutely permanent, the microlinks might
change if a document is re-structured in a fundamentally different way
(not that I'm planning on it, but it is possible).

Best Wishes,

Aria Nosratinia

Very nice site and thanks for the Link.

I've sent your Link to my Site Manager who is sometimes slow. I hate to be so
dependent on others. Be patient. Your site will be listed.
